Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences

The aim of the program is to provide Ph.D. degree in one of the main directions of the Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences: environmental biology, environmental chemistry, environmental physics, or environmental geosciences. Emphasis is on the application of the given discipline in complex research projects, such as water quality changes and management, risk analysis and mitigation in various human and natural environments, renewable energy research, etc. The program offers training in up-to-date experimental methods and field exercises besides a solid theoretical background education.

The main strength of the program is its multidisciplinary orientation. Candidates can learn and participate in complex research projects involving biologists, chemists, physicists, and geoscientists. We offer the program also for students who have not even decided their precise field of scientific orientation yet. Depending on their interest and background knowledge, projects can be shifted to different directions because of their open structure and flexible organization.

STUDY PROGRAMME

The program requires 240 credits where 48 are given by regular courses during the first 4 semesters and the rest can be collected by participating at a research project.

Some data from the Doctoral School of Environmental Sciences and the present course list, consists of 38 items available both in English and Hungarian, you may find at Doctorial database (course list is under 2016. szeptember után induló képzés curriculum).

Doctoral training programme can be downloaded from attachment at the end of this page.
