"My Dissertation in 180 Seconds" Competition

2025.02.04.

The French Institute in Hungary and ESSCA-Budapest are pleased to inform interested participants that the "My Dissertation in 180 Seconds" (MT180) competition will be held for the seventh time.

Participants must present their doctoral thesis in French in a maximum of three minutes, using a single slide, while capturing the interest of both the jury and the audience. A clear, engaging, and possibly humorous presentation style is recommended.

Established in 2012, the "My Dissertation in 180 Seconds" competition is now organized in nearly 30 countries. The competition provides PhD students with the opportunity to present their research to a wider audience and practice explaining complex topics in a simple and accessible way.

Beyond the competition itself, mastering public speaking can be a significant advantage for future career prospects!

All disciplines are welcome, from mathematics to biology, architecture, and literature.

The national round will take place on March 25, 2025, at ESSCA’s Budapest campus.
