Interactive Map (BIS)

The interactive map is available at the following link: bis.elte.hu

In the spring of 2024, the Technical Directorate introduced the BIS (Building Information System), a web-based geoinformation system that provides easy and quick access to floor plans to help navigate within the university's buildings and between ELTE buildings. Upon login, users can see the campuses displayed on a map of Budapest, and they can also select them from a dropdown menu.

The BIS can be particularly useful when used alongside Neptun, where floor plan visualization of rooms is not available. In contrast, BIS allows users to search for rooms based on their Neptun codes. With the integrated search function, individual rooms can be located within seconds, and their positions within buildings can be identified using the floor plans.

Access:

BIS access is exclusively available to members of the university community. Login to the system requires authentication by entering an IIG ID and password.

BIS currently offers three levels of access:

• ELTE Community Member
• ELTE Employee
• ELTE Leader
