Memorial Day of the Hungary’s First Dinosaur Researcher – with ELTE Lecturers

The Geological Service of SZTFH is organizing a memorial day in honor of Baron Ferenc Nopcsa, the founder of dinosaur research in Hungary and former director of the Geological Institute. The adventurous geologist, paleontologist—who, besides being Hungary’s first dinosaur researcher, was also an adventurer, spy, ethnographer, the world’s first airplane hijacker, and nearly became the king of Albania—will be remembered through a series of short, 25-minute lectures. Those carrying on his professional legacy, including our colleagues, will bring to life the key milestones of his exciting life and career. All interested visitors are warmly welcome!
