Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year

The ceremonial opening event of the academic year at the Faculty of Science, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in the Gömb Aula of the building at Pázmány Péter sétány 1/A.

During the ceremony, Dr. Imre Kacskovics, Dean of the Faculty of Science at ELTE, will formally welcome the new students as members of the university community with a handshake. Additionally, the first-year students will take a solemn oath, pledging to acquire scientific knowledge at the highest level, to enhance the reputation of the University through their conduct and outstanding academic achievements, and to use the knowledge they gain for the benefit of society and humanity.
