The delegation from POSTECH University visited our Faculty

The delegation of POSTECH University was led by Professor Seong Keun Kim, the President of POSTECH, and included Professor Park Sung-M, Vice President of External Affairs, Mr. Junki Ahn, Director of International Relations and Ms. Yujin Kim, Assistant Manager of International Relations. ELTE was represented by Dr. Imre Kacskovics, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Viktor Müller, Vice Dean for Education, and Eszter Knyihár, Head of the International Strategy Office, representing the Rector’s Office.

The presentation of POSTECH University highlighted the research achievements of the institution, emphasizing its prestigious position in international rankings. The delegation also showcased the modern and innovative infrastructure available at their institution, along with collaborations with industry partners, particularly in the fields of healthcare and nanotechnology. The representatives from POSTECH emphasized their commitment to to cooperation, in terms of both knowledge transfer and student exchange programs, and also the possibility of establishing a joint degree program. All of these can be supported by the ERASMUS ICM and ERASMUS+ programs, and the Korean side is also open to funding them.

In the second half of the program, Dean Kacskovics presented the cutting-edge research activity of the ELTE Faculty of Science and its research infrastructure, and outlined potential collaboration opportunities.

Both parties evaluated the meeting positively and have begun joint preparatory work to establish concrete opportunities for cooperation.
