The new leaders of the Faculty and the Institutes

Several leadership appointments, including applications for deputy dean and institute director positions, were decided by the Faculty Council at its meeting on June 12.

Viktor Müller, Deputy Dean for Educational Affairs, and László Túri, Deputy Dean for Scientific and International Relations, will continue their deputy dean roles for the next four years. The responsibilities of the Deputy Dean for Strategic and Innovation Affairs will be taken over by Dr. Mádlné Szőnyi Judit, Professor and Head of the Department of General and Applied Geology.

The Council also decided on the applications for institute director positions. Among the previous leaders, Sándor Katz, Director of the Institute of Physics and Astronomy, and István Szalai, Director of the Institute of Chemistry, will continue their leadership roles. Enikő Magyari, Professor in the Department of Environmental and Landscape Geography, will take over the leadership of the Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences from Szabolcs Harangi.
