Main research areas
The research topic covers the methodological and practical issues of modelling potential natural vegetation (PNV) and the prediction of current and future potential natural vegetation. The applicability of multiple potential natural vegetation (MPNV) models for understanding the potential vegetation in Hungary is also investigated.
The research area covers methodological and practical/application issues of predictive distribution models (including species distribution models and potential vegetation models). During the research, we investigate the impact of input data and some model training parameters on model uncertainty and transferability, as well as on predictions. Our main questions include the impact of the calculation methods of bioclimatic variables on the models and the development of model goodness-of-fit metrics.
