Main research areas
Acoustic communication
My area of interest focuses on bioacoustics and vocal communication of dogs (Canis familiaris). I study the acoustic structure of dog vocalizations and their role in communication with conspecifics and humans. I also participate in ethology-inspired robotic research. Throughout my work, I have gained experience in field and laboratory sound recording, sound analysis, manipulation, as well as the use of sound playback techniques, including multimodal setups. Currently, alongside investigating bioacoustics and dog vocalizations, I am involved in uncovering their neural basis, studying dogs' separation behavior, social robotics, and developing artificial non-verbal acoustic expressions.
