Shaping Chemistry’s Future with Two Leading European Universities
Two universities – two degrees – global opportunities in chemistry

This unique program provides students with the opportunity to earn two full master’s diplomas — one from each institution — while immersing themselves in complementary scientific environments.
At ELTE, students gain advanced skills in theoretical chemistry, protein science, and structural research. At ÅAU, students specialize in sustainable chemistry, green chemistry, and industrial applications — key areas driving future industries.
All participants spend
two semesters at their home university and two semesters at the host university within the Erasmus+ mobility framework.
During their mobility period, students deepen their knowledge in the partner institution’s research strengths and complete a thesis aligned with its academic profile.
The program is coordinated by Henrik Grénman (ÅAU) and Viktor G. Mihucz (ELTE), providing continuous academic support throughout the studies.
This unique collaboration offers students the best of both worlds: deep theoretical expertise and cutting-edge applied knowledge.
Why Choose This Dual-Degree Program?
- Receive two master’s degrees from two respected European universities
- Gain expertise in complementary fields of modern chemistry
- Develop skills for academic research, R&D, or industrial careers
- Study in Finland and Hungary, two vibrant scientific hubs
- Expand your international network and scientific horizons
Graduate with Double Credentials and Global Readiness
By the end of the program, students will hold two separate diplomas — one from Åbo Akademi University and one from ELTE — giving them a competitive edge for international academic, scientific, or industry careers. Whether your goal is fundamental research or sustainable innovation, this program equips you with the skills, knowledge, and perspective to succeed.
