Development of polymer based drug delivery systems

My research aims to enhance the efficacy and applicability of various bioactive compounds in collaboration with partner research groups through the use of polymer-based drug carrier nanoparticles. Our methods enable the development of therapeutics with improved bioavailability and reduced side effects.

Development of carbon quantum dots and their applications

My research aims to develop new fluorescent carbon quantum dot systems, investigate their properties, and establish scalable, flow-chemistry-based production methods. These systems are primarily studied for their potential in medical applications, enabling the development of novel, highly efficient theranostic (diagnostic and therapeutic) tools.

Interfacial properties of nanosystems

My research focuses on investigating the interfacial properties of nanoparticles in the nanometer size range, with particular emphasis on their surface tension and interfacial rheology. Using Langmuir balance measurements and high-resolution atomic force microscopy analyses, my goal is to map the interfacial adsorption processes of these particles and to understand the structure of the resulting interfacial layers and multilayers. Through these studies, we can gain deeper insight into the interactions with biological interfaces and explore ways to control the properties and stability of Pickering emulsions stabilized by these particles.
