Regional inequalities of economy and society in Hungary

My research focuses on Hungary, the territorial inequalities of Hungarian society, and its spatially uneven development from the period of the 1989's transition to the present day. My analyses are mostly at the national level, based on territorial statistical data, and the statistical methodology of regional science. My main specific research topics are:

Territorial characteristics of the Hungarian economy

Income inequalities in Hungary, with a European comparison

Specific territorial dimensions of social inequalities in Hungary (education, commuting, settlement hierarchy etc.)

The practice of regional development and the territorial impacts of other sector policies in Hungary

The territorial impacts of transport, and its role in regional development in Hungary

Data sources of regional research in Hungary

Methodological issues in measuring territorial inequalities
