I work on nonperturbative aspects of quantum field theories, focussingon Quantum Chromodynamics and related theories on the lattice, inparticular at finite temperature and/or density. My main interest arethe Dirac spectrum and the localisation properties of the Dirac modes,and the topological properties of gauge fields, in connection with thechiral and confining aspects of the theory.
