My research focuses on the taxonomy, diversity, and biogeography of macrofungi. Our taxonomic studies are conducted using an integrative approach, combining molecular phylogenetics, macro- and micromorphology, and ecological data. The taxonomic revision of Hungary's macrofungi is primarily based on results from molecular identification (DNA barcoding), and we involve citizen science participants in the sample collection process.
