Main research areas
Formation of planetary systems, Dynamical evolution of planetary systems, Celestial mechanics
My research focuses on the formation of planets and planetary systems, based on the core accretion hypothesis of planet formation. I pay particular attention to the development of terrestrial and giant planets in the vicinity of pressure maxima within protoplanetary disks. The primary goal of my work is to develop a comprehensive computational model that simultaneously incorporates the dynamics of gas and dust in the disk, the growth of planetary cores through the accretion of solids and gas, and the dynamical evolution of planets due to gravitational interactions with the disk and with other planets.
