Human-Robot Interaction

In my research, I investigate the interaction between social robots, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in everyday life, and humans. The goal of the research is to develop and implement communicative signals and systems in robots, making it easier for people to cooperate with them.

Ethorobotics

In our ethorobotics research, we view social robots (robots operating in human environments and interacting with people) as a new species. The aim of the research is to develop an appropriate level of social competence for these robots by implementing animal behaviour models, making the robots more easily acceptable to humans. It is important that the robot’s embodiment, abilities, and behaviour are aligned with its intended function.
