My main research interest is combinatorics, with an emphasis on combinatorial geometry. A lot of my papers deal with colorings of geometric hypergraphs. A typical question, which was posed by Pach in 1980, is whether every m-fold covering of the plane with unit disks can be decomposed into two coverings of the whole plane, provided that m is sufficiently large.
