Development of the RNA world: The RNA world, with its RNA enzymes and RNA informational molecule were an important stage in the origin of life. The evolutionary progress from the first self-replication molecules or self-replicating molecular assemblies, through the emergence of complex metabolism to the evolution of the genetic code is studied by theoretical models.
