Main research areas
My main research field is dealing with submarine hydrothermal processes, which are often resulting in ore deposits. My study locations are found in the Dinarides, Hellenides, NE Hungary and N Appenines. They formed related to submarine volcanism, happened at different evolutionary stages of the Neotethyan Ocean (riftin, oceanic stage and subduction). The focus of my research was to model primary and epigenetic fluid-rock interaction processes. Some of them did not result ore mineralisation, while others formed black shale hosted Cu, Michigan-type Cu, SEDEX, or VMS mineralisations. Besides, I have dealt with epithermal, Cu-porphyry and sedimentary rock hosted deposits also during my work, as well as helped in answering metals related questions in archaeometry research projects.
