My research focuses on the thermodynamics of strongly interacting matter with applications to the evolution of the early Universe, neutron star physics and the theoretical description of heavy-ion collision experiments. To solve the underlying theory, Quantum Chromodynamics from first principles, I use numerical lattice simulations running on supercomputers.
