induced pluripotent stem cell differenciation

One of my researches focuses on the human pluripotent stem cell differenciation. I investigate the morphogenesis of cell types differenciate in 2D and 3D in vitro stem cell culture, primarily in ultrastructural (transmission electron microscopic) level. Stem cell cultures are proved to be good in vitro model systems to analyse and understand the basic pathological background of human deseases, such as neural (i.e. neurodegenerative) and metabolic deseases. Stem cell researches have opened up new avenues for personalised treatments in regenerative medicines.
