In the field of urban geography, I predominantly focus on socialist and post-socialist urbanization, socialist new towns, brownfield regeneration, gentrification, and socio-spatial segregation.

In the field of cultural geography, I predominantly focus on representational and more-than-representational cultural geographies, whereas within the latter, mostly on performativity, the geographies of emotion and affect, the re-materialisation of cultural geography, and multi-sensory experiences of landscapes (soundscapes, smellscapes, etc.).

In the field of critical social and spatial theory, I predominantly focus on the work of Henri Levebvre, Edward Soja, Bruno Latour, Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari.
