Utilization of organosilicon compounds in syntheses and derivatization reactions

Preparation of multi- and/or selectively silylated heterocyclic compounds (e.g. uric acid derivatives, etc.) and conversion thereof in organic syntheses. Synthesis of molecular complexes and metal compounds by silane elimination methods, with respect to their special use in materials science. Development of catalytic, extractive biphase, and support-bonded silylation reactions.

Synthesis of tin and iron complexes and coordination chemistry study thereof

Preparation and structure investigation of potentially bioactive tin and iron complexes with NMR, IR, and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Comparative study of their hydrolytic/alcoholytic reactivity, with special emphasis on their biological applicability. Synthesis and supramolecular organization of organotin(IV) lactams and related compounds.
