In my hydrogeological research I mainly focus on groundater-surface water interaction problems and the protection of wetlands and groundwater dependent ecosystems (GDEs). While GDEs have large significance maintaing biodiversity of earth, their protection is crucial. It requires the undestanding of groundwater flow conditions which is changing due to climate change and anthropogenic effects. The decreasing water levels in the aquifers can be mitigated with manage aquifer recharge solutions, which are also in my interest.
