The Institute of Mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University will organize its regular one week long summer school between June 29 and July 3, 2026. Registration deadline: June 20, 2026.

The main topic of the school will be ALGEBRAIC CURVES

The summer school will consist of lectures and of practice classes, delivered by professors of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and of HUN-REN Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics in Budapest (RI). The featured speaker and main coordinator of the program is Prof. András Némethi (RI, ELTE). The lectures will be aimed at advanced undergraduate / starting graduate students but interested PhD students are also welcome. We expect that participants would have a solid background in basic undergraduate mathematics (in particular, algebra, analysis, geometry and topology).
